Stain-resistant
Silestone's polished surface is virtually non-porous,
and therefore highly resistant to stains from coffee,
wine, lemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, makeup and more.
Unline granite, Silestone does not need to be sealed.
Scratch-resistant
Only three minerals-diamond, sapphire and topaz-are
harder than quartz, which makes Silestone naturally
scratch resistant. While a careless slip of the knife
or corkscrew will scratch most other countertops such
as granite, marble and other solid surfaces, it will
not leave a mark on Silestone.
Scorch-resistant
The natural quartz in Silestone makes it extremely scorch-
resistant, and it will not burn or flame when exposed
to limited heat.
Silestone
is Virtually Maintenance-free
You do not need to seal it and cleaning is a cinch with
soapy water or a mild household cleaner. We recommend
Formula 409, Fantastik, Lysol, or Windex. Bleach is
recommended for stubborn or difficult stains. Soak the
area with bleach and gently clean away with a soft Scotch
Brite pad.

Precautions
Although Silestone is extremely scratch and heat resistant,
we recommend protecting your Silestone surface. Do NOT
use crock pots or electric skillets while in direct
contact with your Silestone surfaces. Silestone is a
stone product. As with any natural natural stone, certain
exposure to heat may cause cracks due to thermal shock.
Avoid exposing your Silestone surface to strong chemicals
and solvents. The following will harm Silestone: Drano,
Liquid Plumber, oven cleaners, and floor strippers.
Do Not use any of these or other harsh chemicals on
your Silestone surface.
